20-Minute Face Yoga Routine: Double Chin & Marionette Lines

21 mins

As we age, the muscles and fascia of the face and neck naturally lose tone and elasticity. Combined with gravity, posture, and years of tension, this can contribute to the appearance of a double chin and marionette lines—the lines that run from the corners of the mouth toward the chin. A double chin isn't always caused by weight gain. It can also develop as the neck muscles weaken, posture changes, and the tissues under the chin lose support. Marionette lines become more noticeable as the cheeks gradually descend, the corners of the mouth are pulled downward by overactive muscles, and collagen and elastin decline with age. In this gentle 20-minute Face Yoga practice, we'll release tension in the jaw, neck, and lower face, improve posture and circulation, and gently strengthen the muscles that support the jawline and mouth. The goal isn't to fight aging, but to restore balance, improve natural support, and help your face feel more open, relaxed, and lifted.
